Graduated in Medicine from the State University of Campinas (1984), medical residency in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology from the State University of Campinas (1985-1987), master's degree in Child and Adolescent Health from the State University of Campinas (1992) and a Ph.D. in Child and Adolescent Health from the State University of Campinas (1996). She has been a professor at the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the State University of Campinas since 1989. She has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology, participating mainly in the following topics: chronic kidney diseases, malformation of the urinary tract, nephrotic syndrome, nephritic syndrome, acute renal failure, chronic renal failure and peritoneal dialysis, with a focus on the chronic home peritoneal dialysis program.
